Kültürel miras alanlarının Dünya Miras Listesi’ne kaydedilebilmesi için Dünya Miras Komitesi’nin belirlediği (i-vi) seçim kriterlerinden en az birini karşılaması, özgünlük ve bütünlüğünün devam ediyor olması ve yönetim planına sahip olması gerekmektedir. Bunlar üstün evrensel değerin üç önemli yapı taşlarıdır. Miras alanına ait kriterlerin belirlenmesi için alana yönelik tematik çalışmalar büyük önem arz etmektedir. ICOMOS tarafından yayınlanan “tematik çerçeve” konulu çalışma, bu konuda rehberlik etmektedir. Bu makalede, kültürel miras alanlarında kullanılan altı adet kriterin analizi yapılarak tematik çerçeve ile olan bağlantıları incelenmiştir. İnceleme neticesinde, aday miras alanının Dünya Miras Listesine girebilmesi için doğru temaların seçilip kriterlerle doğru bir şekilde ifade edilebilmesinin önemi vurgulanmıştır.
In order to be included in the World Heritage List, cultural heritage areas must meet at least one (i-vi) of the selection criteria set by the World Heritage Committee, their originality and integrity must continue and have a management plan. These are the three main structures of superior universal value. The thematic work of the area for the determination of the criteria of the heritage field is of great importance. The study on the "thematic framework" published by ICOMOS guides on this. This article examined the links with the thematic framework by analyzing the six criteria used in the fields of cultural heritage. As a result of the review, it was emphasized the importance of the right topics to be selected and expressed correctly by criteria in order for the candidate heritage area to be included in the World Heritage List.
To be accepted for inscription on the UNESCO World Heritage List, the cultural property must meet at least one criteria from the selection criteria (i–vi), satisfy conditions of authenticity/integrity, and have an adequate management system. These are the three pillars of outstanding universal value. To determine the criteria, thematic studies on the cultural heritage sites are essential. The thematic framework published by ICOMOS serves as a guide for the success of the thematic studies.In this article, the six criteria used for cultural heritage sites were examined by observing their links with the thematic framework. As a result of the article, the importance of the choosing the right themes and expressing them with criteria was emphasized in order to be accepted nominated properties to the World Heritage List.
