BİREYLERİN SAĞLIK ANKSİYETESİ DÜZEYLERİ İLE COVID-19 SALGINI KONTROL ALGISININ KARŞILAŞTIRILMASI

Abstract:

Araştırmanın amacı Türkiye’de bireylerin sağlık anksiyetesi seviyeleri ile COVID-19 salgını kontrol algısı düzeylerini saptamak ve sağlık anksiyetesinin COVID-19 salgını kontrol algısı düzeyi üzerindeki etkisini belirlemektir. Çalışmada veriler online olarak bireylere dağıtılmış olan anket formu ile toplanmıştır. Anket formu katılımcıların demografik özelliklerine dair soruların yanı sıra sağlık anksiyetesi envanteri COVID-19 salgını kontrol algısını ölçeği olmak üzere üç bölümden oluşmaktadır. Çevrimiçi anket yöntemi kullanılarak 47 şehirde yaşayan 1050 kişiye ulaşılmıştır. Sonuç olarak, katılımcıların sağlık anksiyetesi düzeyleri orta şiddetli olarak saptanmıştır. Bireylerin COVID-19 salgınına yönelik kontrol algılarının eğitim ve yaş değişkenlerinin yanı sıra sağlık anksiyetesi düzeylerinden etkilendiği gözlemlenmiştir. COVID-19 salgını sırasında tüm grupların ruh sağlığını iyileştirmek için psikolojik müdahaleleri formüle etmek ve daha düşük düzeyde etkilenmelerini sağlamak salgına yönelik kontrol tedbirlerinin anlaşılması ve uygulanması için önemlidir.

Abstract:

The purpose of the study in Turkey is to determine the levels of health anxiety of individuals and the levels of control perception of the COVID-19 epidemic and to determine the effects of health anxiety on the level of control perception of the COVID-19 epidemic. In the study, the data was collected through an online survey form that was distributed to individuals. The survey form consists of questions about the demographic characteristics of the participants as well as the health anxiety inventory; the scale of control perception of the COVID-19 epidemic. The online survey method has reached 1050 people living in 47 cities. As a result, the health anxiety levels of the participants were determined at an average severity. It has been observed that individuals’ control perceptions of the COVID-19 epidemic have been affected by their education and age variables as well as their levels of health anxiety. It is important to formulate psychological interventions to improve the mental health of all groups during the COVID-19 epidemic and to ensure that they are affected at a lower level for the understanding and implementation of epidemic control measures.

Health Anxiety was assessed by the Health Anxiety Inventory and control perception was assessed scale of Control of COVID-19. Data was collected. Online survey has been used. This study included 1050 respondents from 47 cities in Turkey. Health anxiety levels of the participants were determined as moderate. It has been observed that individuals' perceptions of control for the COVID-19 outbreak are affected by their level of education and age, as well as their health anxiety levels. As a result, during the COVID-19 outbreak, it is important to formulate psychological interventions to improve mental health of all groups, and to ensure that they are affected at lower level, in order to understand and implement epidemic control measures.
