Abstract:

Çin’in Hubei eyaletine bağlı Wuhan şehrinde ortaya çıkan ve bütün dünyayı etkisi altına Covid-19 pandemisi, başta sağlık sistemleri olmak üzere sosyal hayat ile ekonomileri olumsuz şekilde etkilemiş ve milyonlarca insanın ölümüne neden olmuştur. Söz konusu pandemiden Türkiye de olumsuz şekilde etkilenmiş ve pandemi ile mücadele için çeşitli stratejiler uygulamaya koyulmuştur. Bunların başlıcaları arasında "maske, sosyal mesafe ve hijyen kuralları" gelmektedir. Hijyen kuralları çerçevesinde Türkiye’de Covid-19 ile mücadele için "alkol içeren kolonyalar, dezenfektanlar, sabun ve deterjan" gibi çeşitli kimyasallar kullanılmaktadır. Pandeminin ilk zamanlarında bu ürünlere olan talep, arzdan daha fazla arttığından ürünlerin stokları tükenmiş, ayrıca bu ürünlere olan ilgi internet üzerinden yapılan aramalara da yansımıştır. Bu doğrultuda bu çalışmanın amacı, Covid-19 pandemisinde kişilerin hijyene dair tutumlarındaki değişimin internet aramaları verileri aracılığıyla incelenmesidir. Çalışma nitel bir çalışmadır. Kişilerin hijyen alışkanlıkları önemli olmakla beraber, covid-19 pandemisiyle bu değişikliklerin neler olduğu konusu da halk sağlığı açısından önemlidir. Çalışmanın alanyazına katkı sağlayacağı düşünülmektedir. Türkiye özelinde son beş yılda söz konusu ürünlere ilişkin internet aramaları incelendiğinde "kolonya, dezenfektan, el dezenfektanı, sabun" kelimelerinin 8-14 Mart 2020, "maske" kelimesinin de 5-11 Nisan 2020’de internet arama sıklığının diğer zamanlara kıyasla daha fazla olduğu tespit edilmiştir.

The Covid-19 pandemic, which occurred in Wuhan, China’s Hubei state, and has affected the whole world, has negatively affected social life and economies, primarily health systems, and has caused millions of deaths. This pandemic has also been negatively affected by Turkey and various strategies have been implemented to combat the pandemic. The main themes include "masks, social distance and hygiene rules". In the framework of the hygiene rules in Turkey, various chemicals such as "alcohol-containing colonies, disinfectants, soap and detergents" are used to fight Covid-19. In the early times of the pandemic, the demand for these products increased more than the supply, and the stock of the products was exhausted, and the interest in these products was reflected in searches on the internet. In this regard, the purpose of this study is to study the change in people’s attitudes to hygiene in Covid-19 pandemic through the Internet search data. Work is a quality work. While people’s hygiene habits are important, the question of what these changes are with covid-19 pandemic is also important for public health. It is believed that it will contribute to the work. When the searches on the internet related to the products in the past five years were examined in particular in Turkey, the words "colony, dezenfectant, hand dezenfectant, soap" were found to be 8-14 March 2020, the word "maske" was also 5-11 April 2020 the internet search frequency was higher than in other times.

Turkey has also been negatively affected and several strategies have been put in place to struggle the pandemy. The main ones are "mask, social distancing and hygiene rules". Within the framework of rules of hygiene in Turkey for combating Covid-19 include various chemicals are used such as "cologne containing alcohol, disinfectants, soaps and detergents". In the early days of the pandemy, these products became out of stock because the demand increased more than the supply. Also the interest in these products reflected in the searches made on the internet. In this regard, the purpose of this study is to examine the change in people's attitudes towards hygiene in the Covid-19 pandemic through internet search data. The study is a qualitative study. Although the hygiene habits of people are important, the issue of what these changes are with the COVID-19 pandemic is also important for public health. It is thought that the study will contribute to the literature. For "Cologne, disinfectant, hand disinfectant, soap" words in 8-14 March 2020 and "Mask" word in 5-11 April 2020 in Turkey when internet searches for the products in question are examined in last five years found higher internet search frequency compared to other times.
