Abstract:

Due to its geopolitical position, Turkey is quite familiar with the problem of refugees for a long time. As a result of the crisis in Syria, Syrian mass refuges that first started in 2011, are of this kind with them, they have brought many economical, political, social and security problems. Currently, there are over than 200 thousand Syrian refugees located just in shelters in Turkey and it is obvious that such a big number will have negative effects on the Turkish economy and structure. Furthermore, especially the possibility that this problem might lead to war between Syria and Turkey, and trigger a conflict between Sunnis and Alevis.With such great risks for Turkey in this matter, Turkish government is criticized by various sides; while some question the legal status of refugees; others criticize Turkey for taking sides in the civil war in Syria. It is seems that this problem, which is humanitarian aid in this essence, is quite a troublesome issue for Turkey. On the other hand, it is observed that the Western States act very loose and are reluctant to be active in solving the problem. Therefore this situation is pushing Turkey towards on even more difficult position. Unfortunately absence of a solution foreseen in near future, it is crystal clear that Turkey has to develop a very careful strategy
