Bu çalışma tarama modelinde yapılmış betimsel bir araştırmadır. Çalışmanın amacı Türkiye’nin sürdürülebilir enerji politikalarının küresel kamu malı olan çevreye katkısı üzerine bir bakış sağlayabilmek için Enerji ve Tabi Kaynaklar Bakanlığı tarafından hazırlanan “Elektrik Enerjisi Piyasası ve Arz Güvenliği Strateji Belgesi” çerçevesinde belirlenen 2023 yılına kadar ki enerji strateji ve hedeflerinin incelenerek, söz konusu hedeflerin olası çevresel etkilerini değerlendirmektir. Araştırmanın sonucu olarak 2023 enerji hedeflerinin çevreye uyumlu bir politika anlayışından uzak olduğu ve hatta çevreye olumsuz yönde katkısı olabileceği söylenebilir. Dolayısıyla enerji kullanımında ortaya çıkan çevresel problemleri en aza indirgeyen yenilenebilir kaynakların kullanımının daha fazla öncelendiği enerji stratejisinin ve hedeflerinin geliştirilmesine ihtiyaç vardır.
This study is a descriptive research conducted in the screening model. Purpose of the study; In order to provide an overview on the contribution of Turkey's sustainable energy policies to the environment, which is a global public good, within the framework of sustainability; The aim is to evaluate the possible environmental effects of these targets by examining the energy strategies and targets until 2023, which are determined within the framework of the "Electrical Energy Market and Supply Security Strategy Document" prepared by the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources. As a result of the research, it can be said that the 2023 energy targets are far from an environmentally compatible policy understanding and may even contribute negatively to the environment. There is a need to develop energy strategies and targets that prioritize the use of renewable resources that minimize environmental problems in energy use.
