Abstract:

The technological advances have made our lives easier in many areas. It is unlikely that the technology that affects our lives in many different areas will not affect the field of education as well. Training is not limited to participating in the lesson in a room surrounded by four sides. Thanks to the new technologies, the training can be done in different environments. With the widespread use of technology and the Internet, the share of online applications in education is rapidly increasing. The fact that students reach information quickly, when and where they want, the elimination of geographical and regional obstacles has enabled students to turn to such remote learning practices. The educational management system is seen as an innovative educational system in which the student is able to follow the classes in virtual environments using the practices, whether live or later. This educational system is also widely used for pedagogical formation training after integration into many areas. Thanks to these advanced educational technologies, the possibility of graduating from other university departments, except for the educational faculty, to receive a certificate of pedagogical formation through remote education programs has been recognized. Similar studies have been carried out in the distance education and pedagogical formation certificate program that has been observed to be positive in the goals, objectives, training and teaching processes that are desired to be achieved for teachers who participate in the pedagogical formation certificate program. University graduates and people who have reached a certain age may now have entered a job and have to work in order to be accepted in society. There may be no time for teaching. For this reason, remote training programs are needed to provide easier access and save time. Remote learning systems require the course material, platforms that will provide communication between the teacher and the student. One of these platforms is the open source Moodle system. In this study, Moodle detailedly describes the educational environment designed for the online pedagogical formation training certificate and analyses the Moodle data of the seven different courses that the teacher candidates have received within the framework of this certificate program. Thus, the teacher candidates have determined in what format, in what time intervals and how often they reach the teaching materials. Additionally, 32 teachers candidates who taught through the moodle system with distance learning were gathered through the opinion and assessment of the moodle educational environment. These data were interpreted by statistical calculations and the results were obtained. The findings obtained in this study make significant contributions to the design and effective use of online pedagogical formation certificate programs. Institutions can, taking into account these findings, conduct the future online training practices more effectively.
