Türkçe öğretmenlerinin mesleğe dair birçok yeterliği kazandığı dönem öğretmen adayı oldukları yani üniversite öğrencisi oldukları dönemdir. Bu manada Türkçe öğretmeni adayları çocuk edebiyatı eserlerinin taşıması gereken nitelikleri bilmelidir. Çocuk edebiyatı eserlerinin seçiminde ise çocuk edebiyatına yönelik tutumun önemli bir belirleyici olduğu söylenebilir. Bu araştırmanın amacı Düzce Üniversitesinde öğrenim gören Türkçe öğretmeni adaylarının çocuk edebiyatına yönelik tutumlarını incelemektir. Türkçe öğretmeni adaylarının çocuk edebiyatına yönelik tutumlarının çeşitli değişkenler açısından incelenmesini amaçlayan ve nicel şekilde desenlenen bu çalışma bir tarama araştırmasıdır. Araştırmaya 2022-2023 eğitim öğretim yılında öğrenim gören ve basit seçkisiz örnekleme yöntemi ile seçilen 140 Türkçe öğretmeni adayı katılmıştır. Araştırmada veri toplama aracı olarak Karagül (2020) tarafından geliştirilmiş olan “Çocuk Edebiyatına Yönelik Tutum Ölçeği” kullanılmıştır. Ölçek “farkında olma”, “kabullenme” ve “değer verme” adlı üç alt boyut ve 26 maddeden oluşmaktadır. Araştırmada Cronbach Alpha değeri ölçeğin genelinde 0.94, “farkında olma” alt boyutunda 0.97, “kabullenme” alt boyutunda 0.77 ve “değer verme” alt boyutunda 0.83 olarak bulunmuştur. Ölçeğin genelinde ve tüm alt boyutlarında Cronbach Alpha değerleri asgari düzey olarak kabul gören 0.70’in üzerindedir. Veri analizi için SPSS 21.0 paket programının kullanıldığı araştırmanın sonucunda katılımcı Türkçe öğretmeni adaylarının çoğunluğunun çocuk edebiyatına yönelik tutumunun olumlu olduğu, cinsiyetin, sınıf düzeyinin, çocuk kitapları okumanın ve çocuk edebiyatı dersi almanın çocuk edebiyatına yönelik tutumu anlamlı düzeyde farklılaştırdığı, 3-17 yaş arasında bir kardeşe sahip olma durumunun ise çocuk edebiyatına yönelik tutumu etkilemediği tespit edilmiştir.
The period in which Turkish teachers gained many qualifications in the profession is the period in which they are a teacher candidate, i.e. the period in which they are a university student. In this sense, the Turkish teacher candidates must know the qualities that children’s literary works must carry. In the choice of children’s literature works, the attitude towards children’s literature can be said to be an important determinant. The aim of this study is to study the attitudes of the Turkish teachers candidates studying at Düzce University towards children's literature. This study, which aims to study the attitudes of the Turkish teacher candidates towards child literature in terms of various variables and is quantitatively designed, is a scan research. The study included 140 Turkish teachers candidates who studied in the 2022-2023 educational year and selected by the simple non-selective sampling method. The study used the "Child Literature Attitude Scale" which was developed by Karagül (2020) as a data collection tool. The scale consists of three sub-dimensions, "not aware", "acceptance" and "to give value" and 26 items. In the study, the Cronbach Alpha value was 0.94 in the entire scale, 0.97 in the "conscious" subdimension, 0.77 in the "acceptance" subdimension, and 0.83 in the "value" subdimension. The Cronbach Alpha values throughout the scale and in all subdimensions are above 0.70, which is considered a minimum level. SPSS 21 for data analysis. The research resulted in the use of the 0 package program that the majority of the participating Turkish teacher candidates had a positive attitude towards children's literature, the gender, class level, reading children's books and taking children's literature lessons significantly differentiated the attitude towards children's literature, and the situation of having a brother between 3-17 years of age did not affect the attitude towards children's literature.
The period when Turkish teachers acquire many competencies related to their profession is the period when they are prospective teachers, that is, when they are university students. This study aims to examine the attitudes of Turkish language teacher candidates studying at Duzce University toward children’s literature. This quantitatively designed study, which aims to examine the attitudes of prospective Turkish teachers towards children’s literature in terms of various variables, is a survey research. 140 Turkish language teacher candidates studying in the 2022-2023 academic year and selected by simple random sampling method participated in the study. The “Scale of Attitude toward Children's Literature” developed by Karagul (2020) was used as a data collection tool in the study. The scale consists of 26 items and three sub-dimensions, namely “awareness”, “acceptance” and “appreciation”. In the study, Cronbach’s Alpha value was found to be 0.94 in the overall scale, 0.97 in the “awareness” sub-dimension, 0.77 in the “acceptance” sub-dimension and 0.83 in the “valuing” sub-dimension. Cronbach’s Alpha values in the overall scale and in all sub-dimensions are above 0.70, which is accepted as the minimum level. At the end of the study, where the SPSS 21.0 software package was used for data analysis, it was concluded that the majority of the Turkish teacher candidates who participated in the study had positive attitudes toward children’s literature and that gender, grade level, reading children’s books, and taking a course on children’s literature significantly changed the attitude toward children’s literature, while having a sibling between the ages of 3-17 did not affect the attitude toward children’s literature.
