Abstract:

Resistance to women’s pressure and persecution relationships is the subject of literary works. In this context, the work, named The Story of the Girl in the World, depicts the freedoms of the fertile women and depicts the power relations and resistance mechanisms within the gender-based social cast system with a distopic philosophy. This work, which reflects the pressure and fear of women in the extremely conservative regime called Gilead, deals with the influence of feminism relationships on the under pressure social environment, their incapacity to resist the pressure, and the form of re-production of the oppressive regime. This structure can be evaluated from Neil Thompson’s power analysis perspective, Michel Foucault’s bio-power and disciplinary society thought, and Paul Freire’s reactions and resistance mechanisms against pressure. With all of this, this study has studied the women’s liberation movement in terms of power, pressure and fear structures in a totalitarian regime and the mechanisms of resistance developed against them.
