Abstract:

ThiThis study was produced from a part of the master's thesis titled "An analysis on the rhythmic pattern–metter relationship in the works composed in beste form whose lyrics are chosen from Fuzûlî's poems found in TRT repertory". The aim of this study is to examine the relationship between the meter patterns in the lyrics of two works in the form of Beste composed of Fuzûlî's poems and the harmony and inconsistency between the usûl beats in which these works were composed. It is thought that it is important in terms of determining the methods and how the meter patterns in the lyrics of the two works mentioned are processed by the composers, and that it is an interdisciplinary study with the relationship between music and literature. The descriptive method was used in the study and the survey model was used. Within the universe of the study; works in the form of Beste, whose lyrics are composed of poems belonging to Fuzûlî, and two pieces in the form of Beste, whose lyrics are composed of Fuzûlî's poems, are included in the TRT notation repertoire. With this study, the relationship between the method and meter of these two works has been examined on the figures, and the necessary explanations for these figures are given in detail under the relevant work. In line with this study, it is concluded that in one example of two pieces composed by different composers with different tempos, the relationship between usûl and meter was compatible, however, the distribution of the other work is generally compatible but it has been determined that some syllables show inconsistency.
