Bu makalede amacım Aristotelesçi külliyatta yer alan melankoli anlayışını tartışmak ve bu tartışmadan yola çıkarak çağdaş psikopatolojide uygulanabilecek teleoloji merkezli bir taksonomi olanağını irdelemektir. Bu doğrultuda ilk olarak Aristoteles’in melankoli kavramsallaştırmasını hıltlar anlayışı içinde ve olgusal tasviri üzerinden tanımlayacağım. Daha sonra Problemler 30.1’in doğal olarak ve kazara melankolik olmak arasında önerdiği ayrımı Aristoteles’in doğa-kaza ve dört neden anlayışları çerçevesinde çözümleyecek ve kişinin telosuna içkin olan bir melankoli kavramsallaştırmasını gündeme getireceğim. Son olarak bu kavramın psikopatoloji taksonomisine ilişkin çağdaş yaklaşımlara ışık tutma olanağını tartışacak ve sisteme içkin, teleolojik psikopatoloji tiplerini “kazara” gelişen psikopatoloji tiplerinden ayırma ideali üzerine kurulu bir taksonomi yaklaşımı önereceğim.
In this article, my goal is to discuss the understanding of the melancholy in the Aristotle culture and to discuss the possibility of a teleology-based taxonomy that can be applied in contemporary psychopathology, starting from this discussion. In this regard, I will first define Aristotle’s melancholic conceptualization in the sense of the heels and through the factual image. Then I will resolve the difference proposed by Problems 30.1 between being natural and randomly melancholic in the framework of Aristotle’s natural-cause and four reasoning concepts and present a melancholic conceptualization that is drunk into the telos of the person. Finally, I will discuss the possibility of this concept to keep light on contemporary approaches to psychopathology taxonomy and I will suggest a taxonomy approach based on the ideal of distinguishing the systems from the types of teleological psychopathology that develop "accidentally" from the types of psychopathology.
