Abstract:

Abstract Artificial intelligence has become one of the fastest growing technologies in recent years. These developments have led to the expansion and diversification of the usage areas of artificial intelligence and robotic applications as a sub-field. In recent years, it is seen that the tourism sector and especially the accommodation enterprises, which is an important branch of the tourism sector, are among the areas where artificial intelligence and robot technologies have started to be used. In this study, a detailed literature analysis of the studies on artificial intelligence and robotic systems in the field of accommodation management is presented. The studies examined within the scope of the research were obtained by scanning Web of Science (WoS) academic/scientific database records. As a result of detailed searches, 117 studies, which were considered to be within the scope of the research, were analyzed. The findings obtained from this research provide various clues about the studies on artificial intelligence and robot technologies in the field of tourism and hospitality management. Considering the limited number of scientific studies based on bibliometrics on the subject in the literature, the authors hope that this study will contribute to the interdisciplinary tourism literature.
