Objective: At every stage of the health care provision, the security of the patient and prevention of medical errors are among the priorities of the health system. In this context, it is important to identify the medical errors trends of employees and take the necessary measures. The research was conducted with the aim of determining the nurses' tendencies to medical errors and examining the factors that affect them.Destination and Method: The research was carried out in a cutting-edge and identifying design. The sample of the study included nurses who worked and agreed to participate in the research in all units of the two hospitals associated with the Ministry of Health, except the surgical, hemodialysis, chemotherapy, clinics and diagnostic units. The number of accessible nurses is 263 and the availability rate is 63%. The data was collected using the "personal and work characteristics question form" and the "Medical Error Trend Scale in Nursing". In the analysis of data, identifying statistics, t-test in independent groups, one-way variance ANOVA and Kruskal VVallis analyses have been used.Discussions: Nurses have a low trend of errors in drug and transfusion applications, in their patient infections, in patient monitoring and material safety, in falls and in communication size. Patient surveillance and material safety have found statistically significant differences between the institutional point of view, the medical error trend in terms of the civil state in terms of the drug and transfusion applications in terms of the low, the work rate in terms of all the low and the weekly working hours in terms of the falling low. The result is that nurses have a low tendency of medical errors, the institution, work hours and weekly working hours have an impact on the tendency of medical errors. Managers are advised to evaluate the institution and reporting culture, review the working conditions and make improvements to it.
