In Ottoman, sport has developed as a systematic activity aimed at acquiring war skills naturally. Different exercises were carried out for the development of the physical strength and neuromuscular coordination necessary to use weapons such as foam, ball, sword, and the scratch displayed with these weapons was recorded in various ways. The extraordinary performances, according to the stone planting tradition, are recorded with a monumental stone written on the book. In the context of this tradition, the most common examples of the shell range stones, weapon, ball and – the only known example – ball shots have been recorded in this way. In our research, the only known example of a sports/armed skill demonstrated by throwing over the horse to a distant distance of the lobut, a weapon not detailed in Turkish literature, has been taken into explanation. The lobut, a short and thick spoon that aims to damage the target by holding or throwing, has been used in different cultures. In this article, Sultan IV. It is written in the memorial of a lobut and cirit shooting made by Murad, and will be studied today through the book located in the fourth hall of the Topkapı Palace; the development, use and morphological characteristics of the lobut, which is a weapon.
