Abstract:

Publications such as annuals, guidebooks, calendars are important source because of which they contain data that accessing is very difficult. Information and explanations they contain provide very considerable donnee concerning economical, political, governmental, demographical structures of their period. The book named Izmir 1876 ve 1908 (Yunanca Rehberlere Göre Meşrutiyette İzmir) which composed of combining three separate guidebooks and translated by Prof. Dr. Engin Berber is prepared and published because of the hundredth anniversary of 2nd Constitutional Monarchy. The most important profit of book’s publication is its shedding light on studies relating to last years of Izmir and its bordering area and consequently Ottoman State at the years of constitutional monarchy
