Abstract:

This study has studied the effectiveness of functional communication teaching in eliminating problematic behaviors of an individual with autism spectrum disorder (OSB) and improving the behavior of attention to the course. The study was conducted with a 11-year-old boy who was diagnosed with OSB. In the research, experimental methods of quantum research types were used. The research was planned according to the number of subjects from the types of experimental methods, and the research used a multi-extraction model between the extraction phase of the extraction from the single subjective research models. The study found that when the sample shows problem behaviors in order to get the object and escape a difficult task, functional communication teaching and communication skills are taught, problem behaviors are disappeared and the second-dependent variable is the sample’s behavior of interest in the effectiveness is increased. The results of the research have been suggested for advanced research.
