Abstract:

Purpose: In this study, we implemented a survey to the faculty members working in the internal and surgical medical branches and to the researchers to determine the levels of anatomy requirements in the anatomy training and clinical studies they receive. In addition, we aimed to identify the postgraduate perspective of the anatomical training and to contribute to the medical training with the assessment that we will do by taking the views on the importance of the anatomical training and the views on the anatomical knowledge levels of stages and internship students who are trained in clinics. Tool and Method: This study was conducted by applying an survey form consisting of 18 questions to 150 clinics (46.7 per cent researchers and 53.3 per cent faculty members; 41.4 per cent surgical and 58.6 per cent internal branches) active at the University of Fırat Medical School Hospital. The findings: Clinical scientists that anatomy is the basis of medical training, that the curve is still indispensable in anatomical training, that the field-based anatomical training should be in specialized training. The result: We believe that more medical facilities should be provided to the medical faculty in order to grow a equipped physician. In addition, in the surgical branches, we believe that it will be useful to add anatomical rotations to specialized training in order to make anatomical knowledge more up-to-date and permanent.
