Abstract:

The aim of this study is to study the relationship between the mother’s level of despair and the level of acceptance of the child. The method of research is defined as a relative scan model. The research has also used the Demographic Information Form, the Beck Despair Scale, the God Perception Scale and the Parental Acceptance-Red Scale as a data collection tool. The study has collected data from 195 mothers. Research finds that the mother with a child with a special need increases the perception of God and the disappointment decreases. The study found that the mother’s level of disappointment increased, and the parent’s acceptance rate increased. When the relationship between the lower dimensions of disappointment and the parent acceptance-ret exchange was studied, there was no meaningful relationship between the expectation from the future and the parent acceptance-ret level. As mothers lose motivation and hope levels rise, parents’ acceptance levels also rise. When it comes to the relationship between the mother’s perceptions of God and the child’s acceptance and acceptance, there is no meaningful relationship between the mother’s perceptions of God and the child’s acceptance and acceptance levels. As one of the most important findings of the study; God's perception affects desperation negatively, desperation positively affects the level of parent acceptance and there has been no relationship between God's perception and parent acceptance.
