Abstract:

Every day, organizations are expected to take greater responsibility in building and developing society and continue to do these efforts. In this regard, the role of corporate social responsibility (CSR) strategies in the development of health and well-being of internal and external stakeholders has gained importance in recent years, and the concept of CSR has been focused on important discussions and the creation of a responsibility theory for institutions. It has become a growing topic of interest for policy makers, practitioners and academics from a variety of disciplines. However, the KSS so far focused primarily on the health and well-being of internal stakeholders. This study provides a motivation on how CSR strategies should also target external stakeholders beyond the workplace, and how CSR strategies can contribute to improving the health and well-being of external stakeholders. The role of in improving public health in the basic sense is defined from the workplace perspective in terms of employee health and well-being. This perspective investigates how can contribute to the improvement of health and well-being in society in general by using the KSS strategies to help deal with social determinants of health as a way of contributing to fairness in health. Businesses have the opportunity to help address the most important social challenges, including social determinants of health, which are the main causes of health inequality. However, while developing a new agenda to improve the health of external stakeholders, need to balance their KSS initiatives with their commercial operations, taking into account the potential challenges that may arise from ethical conflicts. In this context, the study reveals the impact of the KSS strategies on the health and well-being of external stakeholders. In particular, the opportunities and challenges of the KSS approach to the promotion and development of health of external stakeholders have been examined.
