Bu çalışma, Osmanlı ve Cumhuriyet Dönemi’nde eğitimci ve yazar olarak tanınan İbrahim Aşkî’nin çocuk edebiyatı alanındaki görüşlerini incelemeyi amaçlamaktadır. Aşkî, çocuk edebiyatı çalışmalarının hız kazandığı II. Meşrutiyet Dönemi’nde Çocukların Şiir Defteri’ni yazarak ülkemizde henüz emekleme çağındaki çocuk edebiyatına önemli bir katkıda bulunmuştur. Bu eseri yazmakla çocukları, edebiyatın ve sanatın estetik değerleriyle buluşturmayı amaçladığını söylemek mümkündür. Bunu yaparken çocuk gerçekliğini ve onların bilişsel, dilsel, ahlaki ve toplumsal özelliklerini göz önünde bulundurduğu bir gerçektir.
This study aims to study the views of Ibrahim Aşkî, who was recognized as a educator and writer in the Ottoman and Republican period in the field of child literature. The child’s literature has gained the speed of work. By writing the Children’s Poetry Book in the Period of Legacy, it has made a significant contribution to children’s literature in our country yet in retirement age. By writing this work, it is possible to say that it aims to meet children with the aesthetic values of literature and art. When doing this, it is a fact that the child takes into account the reality and their cognitive, linguistic, moral and social features.
