Siirt’in Pervari ilçesinde 1944 yılının Nisan ayında dünyaya gelen İhsan Süreyya Sırma, tarihçi, ilahiyatçı ve seyyah kimliği ile tanınan Türkiye'nin nadide hocalarından biridir. Hoşgörüsü, sevecenliği, gezmeye merakı, yazmaya olan aşkı, öğrencilerine ve kitaplarına olan düşkünlüğü, ilim uğrunda bitmek tükenmek bilmeyen enerjisi ve sayılamayacak daha birçok güzel hasleti ile yeri doldurulamayacak bir hocamızdır. Hayatı boyunca zor dönemler yaşamasına rağmen İslami yaşantısından hiçbir şekilde taviz vermemiştir. Bu nedenle çoğu zaman hak ettiği akademik rütbelerin verilmediği, sınavlarının geçersiz kılındığı ve hakkında soruşturmaların açıldığı dönemler yaşamıştır. Eğitim hayatına devam etmek için gittiği Paris’ten Kürtçe, Türkçe, Farsça, Arapça, İngilizce’den oluşan dil heybesine Fransızcayı da ekleyerek dönmüştür. Özellikle anlattığı hadiseleri Arapça, Kürtçe ve daha ziyade Farsça şiirlerle desteklemiş ve ilimlerin birbirinden ayrı olmadığını, birbirini tamamlarsa kişiye daha çok lezzet vereceğini ortaya koymuştur. İhsan Süreyya Sırma, birçok çalışmasında Haçlı zihniyeti üzerine yorumlar yapmış ve bu zihniyeti taşıyanların Müslümanlara verdiği zararı aktararak bir ders çıkarılması gerektiğini beyan etmiştir. Nitekim Haçlı Seferlerini anlatırken özellikle Müslümanlar arasındaki sürtüşmelerin ve parçalanmışlıkların söz konusu seferlerin birkaç asır devam etmesine neden olduğunu üzüntüyle aktarmıştır. Bu bağlamda her bir Müslüman'ın bu zihniyeti ve buna sahip olanları çok iyi tanıması gerektiğine inanmış ve yazmış olduğu onlarca eserinde Haçlılara ve onun uzantısı olduğunu iddia ettiği günümüz Batılı devletlerine göndermeler yapmıştır. Bu nedenle bu makalede İhsan Süreyya Sırma’nın farklı konular üzerine yazılmış kitapları incelenmiş ve bunlara göre Haçlı kavramı ve Haçlılar üzerindeki fikirleri tespit edilmeye çalışılmıştır. Ayrıca çalışmada Latin kroniklerinin yanısıra İslam tarihçilerinin ve çağdaş yazarların eserlerinden de faydalanılmıştır.
In the Pervari district of Siirt, Ihsan Süreyya Sırma, born in April of 1944, is one of the rare teachers of Turkey, recognized as a historian, theologian and traveler identity. His tolerance, his affection, his curiosity for traveling, his love for writing, his passion for his students and his books, his untouchable energy to end for science and many more beautiful things to be counted are our teachers who will not be filled with the place. Despite the difficult times throughout his life, he did not deal with his Islamic life in any way. Therefore, he has often lived periods in which the academic rankings he deserves were not given, his exams were invalidated and investigations were opened. İhsan Süreyya Sırma, known as historian, theologian and traveler, was born in April 1944 in Pervari district of Siirt. Sırma is an expert in the History of İslam in Turkey. He is tolerant, loving, loves to travel and write, fond of his students and books, and pursues knowledge. In addition, our teacher has many more beautiful features that can not be counted. He had a hard time in his life, but he never compromised his Islamic life. For this reason, most of the time he was not given academic ranks, exams were invalidated and investigations were opened against. He also added French to his language set consisting of Kurdish, Turkish, Persian, Arabic and English. He especially supported the events he narrated with Arabic, Kurdish and rather Persian poems. In addition, he thinks that the sciences are not separate from each other, if they complement each other, it will give more taste to the person. İhsan Süreyya Sırma has commented on the mentality of the Crusades in many of his works and stated that a lesson should be learned by conveying the damage done to the Muslims by the Crusaders. He also stated that a lesson should be learned from these. In his work on the Crusades, he regrets the frictions and fragmentation among Muslims. He stated that this caused the Crusades to continue for several centuries. In this context, according to Sırma, each Muslim must know the Crusader mentality and the Crusaders very well. He also commented on the Crusaders and the Western states that he claims to be his extension. For this reason, in this article, the works of İhsan Süreyya Sırma have been examined and according to their works, the concept of the Crusader and its ideas on the Crusaders have been tried to be determined. In addition, Latin chronicles, works of Islamic historians and other copyrighted works were used in the study.
