Bu çalışma 5 büyük Avrupa Ligi ve Türkiye Süper Liginde oynayan yabancı futbolcu sayılarını incelemek amacıyla yapılmıştır. Çalışmaya Almanya Bundesliga Ligi, İtalya Serie A Ligi, İngiltere Premier Ligi, Fransa Lig 1, İspanya La Liga ve Türkiye Süper Ligi dahil edilmiştir. Çalışmada 2019-2020 sezonundaki futbolcu sayıları incelemeye alınmıştır. Yabancı Futbolcu sayılarının verileri transfermrkt sitesinden elde edilmiş ve verilerin yorumlanmasında tanımlayıcı istatistikten yararlanılmıştır. Elde edilen veriler doğrultusunda Almanya Bundesliga Liginde toplam futbolcu sayısı 517, yabancı futbolcu sayısı 275 (53.2%), İtalya Serie A Liginde toplam futbolcu sayısı 516, yabancı futbolcu sayısı 309 (59.9%), İngiltere Premier Liginde toplam futbolcu sayısı 513, yabancı futbolcu sayısı 333 (64.9), Fransa Lig 1’de toplam futbolcu sayısı 540, yabancı futbolcu sayısı 250 (46,3) ve İspanya La Liga Liginde toplam futbolcu sayısı 486, yabancı futbolcu sayısı da 197 (40.55%) olarak tespit edilmiştir. Türkiye Süper Liginde ise, toplam futbolcu sayısı 520, yabancı futbolcu sayısı 269 (51.7) olarak bulunmuştur. Bu veriler ışığında yabancı futbolcu sayısının en fazla olduğu lig İngiltere Premier Ligi, en düşük olduğu lig ise İspanya La Liga Ligidir. Yine farklı liglerde oynayan yabancı futbolcu sayılarının birbirine benzer olduğu, La Liga ve Lig 1 dışındaki diğer tüm liglerde oynayan oyuncuların %50’sinden fazlasını yabancı futbolcuların oluşturduğu gözlemlenmiştir. Bu bilgilerden yola çıkarak Türkiye Süper Liginin Lig kalitesini artırmak için yabancı futbolcu sayısını azaltmanın çok anlamlı bir tercih olmayacağını söyleyebiliriz. Ülkemizde yabancı futbolcu sayısını azaltmak yerine, alt yapıların düzenlenmesinin, tesis kalitesinin artırılmasının, alt yapı ile üst yapılardaki antrenörlerin bilgi ve becerilerinin yükseltilmesinin ve futbolcuların eğitim düzeylerinin artırılmasının ülkemiz futboluna katkı sağlayabileceğini söyleyebiliriz. Bununla birlikte Avrupa’nın en iyi liglerinde bile yabancı futbolcu sayılarının ülkemiz ile benzer olduğu düşünülürse, ülkemiz futbolunun sorununun yabancı kısıtlaması değil, yukarıdaki saydığımız bazı eksiklikler olduğu söylenebilir.
This study was conducted with the aim of examining the number of foreign footballers playing in the 5 major European League and the Turkish Super League. The study included Germany's Bundesliga League, Italy's Serie A League, England's Premier League, France's League 1, Spain's La Liga and Turkey's Super League. The study examined the number of footballers in the 2019-2020 season. The data of the number of foreign footballers was obtained from the transfermrkt site and used in the interpretation of the data identifying statistics. According to the data obtained, the total number of footballers in the Bundesliga Germany is 517, the number of foreign footballers is 275 (53.2%), the total number of footballers in the Serie A Italy is 516, the number of foreign footballers is 309 (59.9%), the total number of footballers in the Premier League of England is 513, the number of foreign footballers is 333 (64). 9), the total number of footballers in France League 1 was 540, the number of foreign footballers was 250 (46.3) and the total number of footballers in Spain La Liga was 486, and the number of foreign footballers was 197 (40.55%). In the Turkish Super League, the total number of footballers was 520, the number of foreign footballers was 269 (51.7). In light of these data, the league with the highest number of foreign footballers is the Premier League of England and the lowest league is the Spanish La Liga. The number of foreign footballers playing in different leagues is similar, and more than 50% of the players playing in all other leagues except La Liga and Ligue 1 are foreign footballers. From this information, we can say that reducing the number of foreign footballers to improve the quality of the Turkish Super League is not a very meaningful choice. Instead of reducing the number of foreign footballers in our country, we can say that the organization of the substructs, the improvement of the facility quality, the improvement of the knowledge and skills of the coaches in the substructs and the upper structures and the improvement of the level of training of footballers can contribute to our country’s football. However, even in the best leagues of Europe, if it is considered that the number of foreign footballers is similar to our country, it can be said that the problem of our country’s football is not a foreign limitation, but some of the shortcomings we counted above.
