The Ottoman movement of westernization until the Tanzimat period only took place in military spaces. There have been changes in social and political life with Tanzimat Ferman, the Ottoman culture has encountered a new dimension, and the media of that day has also taken its place as one of the main actors of this interaction. Many of the Ottoman lights admired the West and compared Europe to their own communities. They kept the body, the organization and the way of life on their daily basis. The greatest obstacle before the imposition of Westernization, which was spread very quickly and influenced by some Ottoman state’s rejection and the influence of it in an effective position, was the “Religion” event. According to the thoughts of those who are in this thought, the religion, tradition and culture of the Ottoman State would lose its influence by this mountain-down Westernization movement and the press of the media that took over its outskirts. Since Westernization efforts are often carried out either by the pressure of the Western countries or by indirect pressure, they have, when the results are followed, coated with their interests, influenced the inner dynamics of society, not in the direction of development, but in the direction of deformation and degradation. In addition, the minorities, who owned the media and wealth at the time, also took the role of the political, economic and cultural representative of the Western interests in Ottoman.
