Değer kavramı, sosyal bilimler alanında araştırmaların en çok yapıldığı konuların başında gelmektedir. Bireyleri birbirlerinden farklı kılan bir unsur olan değerler, bu bireylerin sergiledikleri davranışları ve aldıkları kararları etkileyebilmektedir. Oy verilecek partinin seçilmesi de bu kararlardan bir tanesidir. Seçmenler, oy verme sürecinde kendi değerlerine yakın değerlere sahip siyasi partiye yönelmektedirler. Siyasi bir partiye üye olma, bu partiye oy verme ve bu örgüt ile uzun süreli ilişkiler kurma birey ile örgütün ortak değerler etrafında birleşmeleri ile daha mümkün olmaktadır. Bu çalışmada siyasi parti üyesi ve seçmeni olmanın benimsenen değerler üzerindeki etkisinin ortaya koyulması amaçlanmıştır. Bu amaçla, Edirne merkez ilçede yaşayan toplam 395 seçmen ve parti üyesi üzerinde bir anket çalışması gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırmada Schwartz Değerler Ölçeği kullanılmıştır. Elde edilen veriler ile yapılan Mann-Whitney U Testi ve lojistik regresyon analizi sonucunda; bir siyasi partiye üye olmanın bireylerin bazı değerlere verdiği önemi arttırdığı belirlenmiştir. Ayrıca değerler ile eğitim düzeyi, yaş, cinsiyet ve siyasi parti değişkenleri arasında istatistiksel açıdan anlamlı ilişkiler olduğu ortaya koyulmuştur.
The concept of value comes to the head of the topics most researched in the field of social sciences. Values, which make individuals different from each other, can influence the behavior they show and the decisions they make. The election of the party to vote is one of these decisions. The voters are directed to a political party with values close to their values in the vote process. It is more possible to be a member of a political party, to vote for this party and to establish long-term relationships with this organization with the individual and associations around the common values of the organization. The aim of this study is to reveal the impact of being a member of the political party and the voter on the adopted values. For this purpose, a survey was conducted on a total of 395 voters and party members living in the central district of Edirne. The Schwartz values measurement was used. The results of the Mann-Whitney U Test and logistical regression analysis found that being a member of a political party increased the importance that individuals give to certain values. It has also been shown that there are statistically meaningful relationships between values and education level, age, gender and political party variables.

Voters turn towards a political party with values close to their own in the voting process. Being a member of a political party, voting for this party and establishing long-term relationships with this organization is more possible with the unification of the individual and the organization around common values. In this study, it was aimed to reveal the effect of being a political party member and voter on adopted values. For this purpose, a survey was conducted on 395 voters and party members living in Edirne city centre. Schwartz Values Scale was used in the study. As a result of the Mann-Whitney U Test and logistic regression analysis made with the data obtained; it was determined that being a member of a political party increases the importance that individuals attach to various values. In addition, it was revealed that there are statistically significant relationships between values, and education level, age, gender and political party variables.
