Repair timing of wounds due to animal bites are still in discussion. In recent studies, it is advised that primer repair must be carried out for cases who admitted within the first 24 hours with non-infected wounds particularly if wound is at head and neck region. Besides of wound repair, immunoglobulin application, vaccine program initiation and proper antibiotic treatment should be also considered, in order to prevent rabies and wound infection.
