Abstract:

The aim of this study is to evaluate the problems of history teaching in our country in the light of current literature. The problems that are faced with this purpose have been evaluated from the past to the present and the problems arising in the framework of history teaching have been discussed by grouping under various titles. The problems faced in history teaching in our country: the problems arising from the purposes of history teaching, the problems arising from the history lesson books and the programming, the problems arising from the lack of teaching materials, the problems arising from the lack of history teachers in education, the problems arising from the lack of use in historical spaces and the problems arising from the method and technical choice. As a result, in the framework of these problems, the revision of history teaching and the new understanding of the teaching that is already being applied in our country have come to the conclusion that an effective history teaching can be achieved by taking into account the specific circumstances in the teaching of history course.
