Günümüzde halk ve entelektüeller arasındaki sorunların çözümsüzlüğünün temel sebeplerinden biri, her iki tarafın aynı dili konuştukları halde anlam ve sembollerin aktarımında etkin bir iletişim ve etkileşim tarzını karşılıklı olarak pozitif bir biçimde gerçekleştirmeyi başaramamış olmalarıdır. Bu başarısızlık durumu, tarafların birbirlerini negatif söylemler üzerinden suçlamaları ile adeta kronik bir hastalığa dönüşmüştür. Bu kronik hastalığın izlerini, gerek halk gerekse entelektüel tarafta yer alanların “zihinsel ve fiziki güçlerini” birbirlerine üstünlük kurmak üzere “tahammül edilemeyen hınç yüklü nefret söylemleri” ile dile getirdikleri her yerde görmek mümkündür. Her iki taraf arasında hınca dayalı nefret söylemi devam ettiği sürece toplumsal kutuplaşmanın, kindarlığın ve düşmanlığın yok edici etkileri ile karşılaşılması kaçınılmazdır. Bu nedenle tarafların “en çözülemez konularda bile uzlaşma sağlayabilecekleri” üretken bir ortak paydanın yakalanması gerekmektedir. Bu gereklilikten hareketle, halk ve entelektüellerin birbiriyle yüzleşmesine ve uzlaşmaya varmasına vasıta olacak ortak bir iletişim platformunun ve bu platformun ilkelerinin nasıl oluşturulacağının incelenmesi bu makalede tartışma konusu yapılmıştır.
