Türkiye’de Sığır Eti Üretiminin ARIMA (Box-Jenkins) Modeli ile Öngörüsü

Hayvancılık sektörü, toplumun sağlıklı beslenmesi, kırsal kalkınmaya ve istihdama katkısı bakımından önemli bir sektördür. Bu çalışmada, Türkiye’de besi sığırcılığının gelişiminin ortaya konması ve sığır etinin on yıllık üretim öngörüsünde bulunulması amaçlanmıştır. Gelecek yıllara ilişkin tahmin yapılmasının yatırım ve üretim planlaması bakımından yararlı olacağı düşünülmektedir. Sığır eti üretim miktarı, Box-Jenkins metodu olan ARIMA modeli ile tahmin edilmiştir. Analizde kullanılan veriler 1936-2021 dönemini kapsamaktadır. Yapılan analizler sonucunda ARIMA (0.2.2) modeli sığır eti üretiminin tahminine ilişkin en uygun model olarak tespit edilmiştir. Yapılan tahmine göre 2022-2031 yılları arasında sığır eti üretiminde %60.31 oranında artış olacağı öngörülmüştür. Bu artışa bağlı olarak kırmızı et sektörü ile ilgili et entegre tesislerinin geliştirilmesine yönelik adımların atılması gerektiği düşünülmektedir.

Abstract:

The livestock sector is an important sector in terms of healthy nutrition of the society and its contribution to rural development and employment. In this study, it is aimed to reveal the development of beef cattle breeding in Turkey and to make a ten-year production prediction of beef. It is thought that making forecasts for the coming years will be beneficial in terms of investment and production planning. The amount of beef production was estimated with the ARIMA model, which is the Box-Jenkins method. The data used in the analysis cover the period 1936-2021. As a result of the analysis, the ARIMA (0.2.2) model was determined as the most appropriate model for the estimation of beef production. According to the estimation; It is predicted that there will be an increase of 60.31% in beef production between 2022 and 2031. Depending on this increase, it is thought that steps should be taken to develop integrated meat facilities related to the red meat sector.
