Abstract:

From the beginning of the Turkish literature to the present day, the magazines have taken on important tasks. The magazines, which have an important role in the Turkish cultural life, are both the publication bodies that reflect the historical events of the periods in which they are connected; the world of ideas, politics and literature; the cultural activities, and seek to direct the life of thought. The 1950s were the years of political, social and economic changes in Turkey. During the period in which the Turkish Spirit magazine was published (15 December 1957-4 July 1958, 14 numbers) he is responsible against the Turkish people, referring to many topics related to the period, including art and literature. In this article, a review was made on the articles in the corner entitled "Literature Art" in the Turkish Spirit Magazine. With the work of this article "Literature Art" from the articles published under the top title, the attempt to keep the national spirit of this corner alive has been aimed at revealing the purpose of the Turkish Spirit magazine, its literary activities and its place in our literature.
