Sanayi devrimi sonrasında çalışma koşullarının giderek kötüleşmesi ve özellikle de 1929 ekonomik buhranının meydana gelmesiyle birlikte artık ülkelerin müdahaleci bir yapı benimsemeleri kaçınılmaz olmuş ve ülkeler bu olumsuz koşulları ortadan kaldırabilmek için sosyal politikalar üretmeye başlamışlardır. Liberalizm savunucuları sosyal devlet uygulamalarına eleştirel yaklaşmaktadır. Eleştirel bakışa sahip olanlar, Sosyal Devlet uygulamalarının bireysel özgürlükleri kısıtladığını ve bireysel özgürlüklere zarar verdiğini düşünmektedir. Bu çalışma liberal görüş bağlamında sosyal devlet anlayışının müdahaleci yönünü tartışma noktasında önem arz etmektedir. Çalışmada ilk olarak sosyal devletin tanımı ve özellikleri, sosyal devletin gelişim süreci ve liberalizm kavramı ele alınmaktadır. Sosyal devletin liberal düşüncede bıraktığı etkiler, tartışmalar ve sorgulamalar ele alınmaktadır.
With the worsening of working conditions after the industrial revolution and especially the 1929 economic breakdown, the country’s adoption of an intervening structure has become inevitable, and the countries have begun to produce social policies to eliminate these negative conditions. Liberalism defenders are critically approached to social state practices. Critical persons believe that social state practices limit individual freedoms and harm individual freedoms. This study emphasizes the intervening aspect of the social state understanding in the context of liberal view. The study first discusses the definition and characteristics of the social state, the development process of the social state and the concept of liberalism. The influences, discussions and questions that the social state leaves in liberal thought are discussed.
After the industrial revolution, as working conditions gradually deteriorated, and especially with the economic depression of 1929, it was inevitable that countries would adopt an interventionist structure and countries began to produce social policies to eliminate these negative conditions. Liberalism defenders are critical of welfare state practices. Those who have a critical view think that Social State practices restrict individual freedoms and harm individual freedoms. This study is important in terms of discussing the interventionist aspect of the social state understanding in the context of liberal view. In the study, firstly, the definition and characteristics of the welfare state, the development process of the welfare state and the concept of liberalism are discussed. The effects of the social state on liberal thought, discussions and inquiries are discussed.
