Objective: It is important to ensure that patients are monitored by deposit in the child and adolescent psychiatry. The length of the periods of incidents may vary depending on demographic and clinical characteristics. This study aims to share data on the relationship between the clinical and demographic characteristics of the period of incidents in a child and adolescent psychiatric bed service. Tools and methods: Inönü University School of Medicine, Child and Adolescent Mental Health Bed Service has been deposited and the records of the events followed and treated. From the end of 2013 to the middle of 2017 the demographic and clinical characteristics of 379 incidents deposited and dismissed (psychological diagnoses, cognitive behavioral therapy and psychopharmacological therapy, position characteristics, psychometric scale scales) were recorded. The impact of all variables on the fixation period was assessed. The Mann-Whitney U test, a non-parametric test, was used in the comparison of sleeping times. The relationship of the psychometric tests applied to the deposit time was looked at by the Pearson correlation ratio. Results: The average deposit time for all cases was 20,05±19,69 days. The shortest stay period of cases was 1 day, while the longest stay period was 135 days. In adolescents, those who continue their daily training, those with psycho-diagnosis and other psychotic disorders, eating and eating disorders, trauma and stress-related disorders, the residence period in the fields of cognitive behavioral therapy and psychopharmacological therapy (antipsychotic, antidepressant, anxiolithic) was significantly longer. The period of rest was shorter in cases of neurogeneous disorders and mental fat loss. The scale of depression in children, the condition-continuous anxiety inventory for children, the scale of post-trauma stress reaction scales for children were found to be correlated in a positive direction with the length of the resting period. The result: Spiritual diagnoses and treatments can be determining in the length of the rest period. In our country, children and adolescents have a very limited number of bed-based psychiatric services. More research is needed where the relationship of the sleep time with the demographic and clinical characteristics is studied.
