Yaratıcı Drama ve Dil Eğitimi Temelli Lisansüstü Tezlerin Eğilimleri

Abstract:

Bu çalışmada Open Access Theses and Dissertations (OATD) veri tabanında yer alan lisansüstü tezler,  yaratıcı drama ve dil becerileri ekseninde incelenmiştir. Bu amaçla veri tabanında dizinlenen ve anahtar kelimeleri arasında “drama” yer alan 14275 tez incelenmiş, hariç tutma kriterleri sonrasında lisans üstü çalışmaların 145 tanesinde dil eğitimi-drama ilişkisine yer verildiği belirlenmiştir. Betimsel nitelikteki bu araştırmada tarama modeli temel alınmıştır. Tezler; dil becerileri, üniversite, yayın yılı, anahtar kelimeler ve tercih edilen bilimsel araştırma yöntemi ekseninde incelenmiştir. Veriler, Maxqda 2022 programı aracılığıyla analiz edilerek görselleştirilmiştir. Çalışmada elde edilen başlıca sonuçlar şöyledir: Lisansüstü düzeyde en çok çalışmanın konuşma eğitimi alanında yapıldığı görülmektedir. Bunu yazma, okuma ve dinleme izlemektedir. Söz konusu kriterlere uygun lisans üstü çalışmanın en fazla yapıldığı zaman aralığı, 2011-2015 yılları arasındaki dönemdir. Belirlenen kriterdeki çalışmaların en çok Amerika Birleşik Devletleri’ndeki üniversitelerde yapıldığı görülmüştür. Tezlerde en çok tercih edilen ilk 5 anahtar kelime/kelime grubu; drama teknikleri, ikinci dil öğretimi, edebiyat eğitimi, iletişimsel beceri, eğitsel tiyatro olmuştur. En yüksek oranda tercih edilen bilimsel araştırma yöntemi, karma yöntemdir. Çalışma sonuçlarının yaratıcı drama ve dil eğitimi alanında çalışan araştırmacılara, alan uzmanlarına ve uygulayıcılara yol göstereceği düşünülmektedir.

The Trends of Graduate Thesis Based on Creative Drama and Language Education

Abstract:

This study examined the database of Open Access Theses and Dissertations (OATD) in the field of graduate theses, creative drama and language skills. For this purpose, 14275 theses, which are categorized in the database and included "drama" among the keywords, have been studied, with the criteria of exclusion, and 145 of the undergraduate studies have been determined to include the language education-drama relationship. In this visual quality research, the scan model was based. The theses are studied in the axis of language skills, university, year of publication, keywords and preferred scientific research method. The data was visualized by analysing through the Programme Maxqga 2022. The main results obtained in the study are as follows: at the postgraduate level, the most study is done in the field of speech education. It follows writing, reading and listening. The time interval for the most licensed studies in accordance with these criteria is between 2011-2015 years. The study at the criteria established was most done at universities in the United States. The first 5 key words/word groups that were most popular in the theses were: drama techniques, second language teaching, literary education, communication skills, educational theatre. The most popular method of scientific research is the karma method. It is believed that the results of the study will lead to researchers, field experts and practitioners working in the field of creative drama and language education.

In this study, postgraduate theses in the Open Access Theses and Dissertations (OATD) database were examined in the axis of creative drama and language skills. For this purpose, 14275 theses indexed in the database and including "drama" among the keywords were examined, and after the exclusion criteria, it was determined that 145 of the postgraduate studies included the relationship between language education and drama. This descriptive study was based on the survey model. Theses were analyzed in terms of language skills, university, year of publication, keywords and preferred scientific research method. The data were analyzed and visualized through the Maxqda 2022 program. The main results obtained in the study are as follows: It is seen that the most studies at the graduate level are in the field of speaking education. This is followed by writing, reading and listening. The period between 2011 and 2015 is the period in which the most postgraduate studies in accordance with the criteria in question were conducted. It was seen that most of the studies in the determined criteria were conducted in universities in the United States of America. The top 5 most preferred keywords/phrase groups in the theses were drama techniques, second language teaching, literature education, communicative skills, and educational theater. The most preferred scientific research method was mixed method. It is thought that the results of the study will guide researchers, field experts and practitioners working in the field of creative drama and language education.
