Abstract:

Kronik obstrüktif akciğer hastalığı (KOAH ) ve astımsık görülen kronik akciğer hastalıklarıdır. Dünya genelinde ortalama oniki kişiden birinde astım veya KOAH görülmektedir. KOAH ve astım havayolu obstrüksiyonu, kronik havayolu inflamasyonu ile karakterizedir. Bir kişide hem astım hem KOAH klinik belirtileri beraber bulunuyorsa, Astım-KOAH Overlap Sendromu olarak tanımlanmaktadır. Astımlı hastada persistan hava akımı kısıtlaması ve sigara öyküsü varsa veya KOAH’ lı hastada çocukluk çağı astım öyküsü var, solunum fonksiyon testlerinde reverzibilite ve hava yolu inflamasyonunda eozinofili bulunması durumunda Astım-KOAH Overlap Sendromu düşünülmelidir. Bu makalede Astım-KOAH Overlap Sendromunun klinik özellikleri ve tedavisinin aktarılması amaçlanmıştır.
