Abstract:

Abstract This is a descriptive research that aimed to investigate the non-conformities regarding biosafety, committed by health professionals during service delivery, from the perspective of nursing students. Data collection was done through a self-administered questionnaire with 80 students-, and were analyzed through thematic analysis. The study respected the ethical precepts related to human research. The prevalent non-compliance refers to workers’ negligence to use Individual Protection Equipment by, justified by their lack of time, overload and lack of knowledge. Academics suggested permanent health education as a way of improving this scenario. It can be inferred that education can be a strategy for the safety culture of both the user and the worker.
