Abstract:

The aim of the study, is to identify the trends of scientific articles on value education in Turkish teaching. Scientific articles conducted for this purpose were identified and research trends were uncovered by examining publication locations, publication years, subject areas, research methods, data sources, data collection tools, data analysis methods, number of authors and distribution to the target audience. The study used the document investigation method from qualitative research designs. In order to arrive at the studies that form the data source, key terms such as Turkish teaching, Turkish education, value formation, value transfer, cultural transfer were scanned in accordance with the opinions of the field experts; In addition, the bibliographic sections of the studies were examined and 106 scientific articles were found, which form the data source of the research. It was noted that 95 of these articles were prepared for the values of teaching Turkish as a native language and 11 of them for the values of teaching Turkish to foreigners. The scientific research classification form was used to collect research data. The data obtained were analysed using descriptive content analysis. As a result of the research, it was found that articles were published in 64 different scientific journals and most studies in 2020 were conducted with 19 articles. It was concluded that more textbook exams were conducted in the research, document checking was one of the qualitative research methods, and the content analysis method was more likely to be preferred to data analysis. In addition, it was concluded that the textbook and the examination and classification form were mainly used as a data collection tool in the studies carried out and that there were more duplicate authors in the studies conducted.
