Spor genel olarak bireyin bireysel veya toplu olarak belirli kurallar çerçevesinde yapmış olduğu etkinlikleri ifade etmektedir. Spor etkinlikleri yönetimi ölçümleme kapsamında; spor karşılaşmalarında yer alan amatör/profesyonel ve seyirci/katılımcı konuları, yapılan spor faaliyetinin sonuçlarının ölçümlenmesi ve bunun sonucunun aktarılması noktasında önem arz etmektedir. Bu çalışmada geleneksel derleme modeli kullanılarak spor karşılaşmalarında etkinlik yönetimi ölçümlemesi üzerine araştırmalar ele alınmıştır, amacı açısından betimleyici ve kullanılan teknik yönüyle de literatüre dayalı bir kuramsal tartışma sunmaktadır. Sporun hayatımızın her alanına dokunuyor oluşu, sporu izlemeyi, spordan konuşmayı, sporun medyada yer alışını da etkilemektedir. Bu kapsamda spor karşılaşmalarının bir etkinlik yönetimi olarak ölçümlenebilmesi sporun nicelik olarak ifade edilmesinin yanında çok daha fazlasını da içermektedir. “Ölçemediğimiz şeyi yönetemeyiz” sözünden de hareketle spor etkinliklerini yönetebilmemiz için bu etkinliklerin ölçülebilirliği üzerinde düşünüyor olmamızın da gerekliliği ortaya çıkmaktadır. Dolayısıyla teknolojinin gelişmesi ile sporla olan ilişkimiz yeniden düzenlenmiş ve böylece elde edilen verilerin spor alanına ilişkin olumlu katkıları açısından spor etkinlik yönetiminin ölçümlenmesi son derece önemli bir konuyu ifade eder hale gelmiştir.
Sports generally means activities that the individual individually or collectively performs in accordance with certain rules. In the framework of the management measurement of sports events, the amateur/professional and audience/participant subjects involved in sports meetings are important in the measurement of the results of the sports activity and the transfer of the results. In this study, research on the measurement of performance management in sports meetings using the traditional assembly model has been discussed, and it also offers a theoretical discussion based on literature in the aim of the objective and the technical aspect used. The fact that sport touches all areas of our life, it also affects watching the sport, talking about the sport, and playing the sport in the media. In this context, the measurement of sports matches as an event management also includes much more than the expression of sports as quantity. "We can't manage what we can't measure" also shows the need to be thinking about the measurability of these activities in order to be able to manage the sports activities by movement. Therefore, the development of technology and our relationship with sport has been reorganized and the measurement of sport activity management has become an extremely important subject in terms of the positive contribution of the data obtained to the sport area.

In this study, researches on the measurement of event management in sports events are discussed by using the traditional compilation model, it is descriptive in terms of its purpose and presents a theoretical discussion based on the literature in terms of the technique used. The fact that sports touches every aspect of our lives also affects watching sports, talking about sports, and the presence of sports in the media. In this context, measuring sports events as an event management includes much more besides expressing sports in terms of quantity. Based on the saying "We cannot manage what we cannot measure", the necessity of thinking about the measurability of these activities in order to be able to manage sports events emerges. Therefore, with the development of technology, our relationship with sports has been rearranged, and thus the measurement of sports event management has become an extremely important issue in terms of the positive contributions of the data obtained to the field of sports.
