In today's organizational structures, where competition is increasing rapidly and the importance of success-oriented work is constantly reminded, the stress and pressure on managers and employees may increase. Although the technological developments experienced today improve working conditions compared to the past, they are helpless in the face of this pressure. Due to this pressure, undesirable situations such as workplace incivility, burnout and organizational cynicism often occur in organizations. This study aims to determine which variables cause workplace incivility and burnout in terms of academicians and whether these variables are related to organizational cynicism. The study sample was determined as academicians working in higher education institutions. Qualitative research methods were preferred as the analysis method, the data were obtained through interviews, and the MAXQDA 20 program was used for analysis. As a result of the study, workplace incivility, emotional abuse, control and manipulation of working conditions, professional devaluation, burnout, emotional burnout, and the tendency to decrease personal achievement were the variables that interacted most with organizational cynicism.
