İnternet Tabanlı Yatırımcı İlişkileri Analizi: Borsa İstanbul Ulaştırma Sektöründe Bir İnceleme

Abstract:

Çalışmanın amacı, Borsa İstanbul’da işlem gören ulaştırma şirketlerinin, internet tabanlı yatırımcı ilişkileri yönetimlerinin analiz edilmesidir. Şirketlerin piyasada yer alan katılımcılara kendilerini doğru bir şekilde anlatmaları, yatırımlarını ve potansiyellerini aktarmaları onlarla sürekli iletişim halinde olmaları ile mümkündür. Yatırımcılarla olan iletişim, şirketlerin hisse senetlerinin fiyatlarını, buna bağlı olarak da piyasa değerlerini etkilemektedir. Şirketler, günümüzde teknolojinin ulaştığı noktaya bağlı olarak, piyasa ve katılımcılarını bilgilendirirlerken, geleneksel yollardan (basılı rapor, toplantı vb.) yavaş yavaş uzaklaşarak internet tabanlı iletişime yönelmektedirler. Çalışmanın amacı kapsamında şirketler, Yeni Yatırımcı İlişkileri Derneği’nin oluşturduğu, faaliyet raporu, internet sitesi ve finansal sonuç açıklama kategorilerini kapsayacak şekilde Skor Kart yöntemi ile değerlendirilmiştir. Bu kapsamda 01/2018 - 09/2019 dönemi için PGSUS en yüksek orana sahip şirket olarak bulgulanmıştır. Ayrıca, çalışmada şirketler için elde edilen yatırımcı ilişkileri skorları, şirketlerin ilgili faaliyet dönemi için hesaplanan borsa getirileri ile karşılaştırılmıştır. Karşılaştırma sonucunda, şirketlerin internet tabanlı yatırımcı ilişkileri skorları ile borsa getirileri arasında anlamlı bir ilişki tespit edilememiştir.

Abstract:

The purpose of this study is to analyze the internet-based investor relations management of the transportation companies listed on Borsa Istanbul. It is possible for companies to express themselves correctly to the participants in the market, to communicate their investments and potential, and to be in constant contact with them. The communication with the investors affects the prices of the companies’ stocks and accordingly the market values. While companies are informing the market and its participants, depending on where technology has reached, they are moving away from traditional ways (printed report, meeting, etc.) gradually and turning to internet-based communication. Within the scope of the study, the companies were evaluated by using the Scor Cart method, which covers the annual report, website and financial result disclosure categories created by the New Investor Relations Association. In this context, PGSUS was found to be the company with the highest rate for the period 01/2018 - 09/2019. In addition, the scores obtained in the study were compared with the stock returns of the companies for the relevant activity period. As a result of the comparison, there is no significant relationship between companies' internet-based investor relations scores and stock returns.
