Eastern Europe and the Balkans have been a settlement area for many Turkish tribes which came through the north of the Black Sea coastline beginning from Huns. These Turkish tribes have been effective in military, political and cultural areas for centuries. The Cumans who was the last tribe that came from the north of the Black Sea to the Balkans, played an important role in the foundation of Second Bulgarian State until the coming of the Ottoman Turks. This study’s purpose is, after the discussion about Peter and Asen who founded the Second Bulgarian State and the role of the Cumans whose debate was analyzed according to Turkish and Bulgarian resources, to examine the genealogical relation of lineage between the khans of the Second Bulgarian State and Cumans
