19. yüzyıl, sömürgeciliğin klasik dönemi olduğu gibi, Avrupamerkezci yayılmacılığın da “klasik biçimini” aldığı dönemdir. Avrupa, ele geçirdiği dünya egemenliğini halen tartışmasız şekilde elinde tutmaktadır. Bu konuda onun en büyük yardımcısı “sosyal bilimler” olmuştur. Sosyal bilim yapıları Avrupamerkezci düşüncenin yayılması ve kökleşmesinde önemli rol oynamış, Batı’nın kendini merkeze alarak koyduğu kuram ve paradigmalar küresel bir özelliğe büründürülmüştür. Bu yazıda Avrupamerkezci düşüncenin yanlışlığı ele alınarak sosyal konuların pozitif bilimler gibi kesinlik taşımadığı, dolayısıyla kendi sosyal yapımızı Batılı sosyal kuramlarla anlamamızın imkânsızlığı savunuluyor.

The structures of social sciences has played active role in distributing and rooting the thought of Eurocentrism and by doing that gradually the theories and paradigms of West globalized. In this article we discuss the fallacy of the thought of Eurocentrism within the perspective that social sciences can not be seen like exact sciences and thus we can’t understand our structure of society through western social theories.
