ÖZET Bu denemenin gayesi, nitrat yıkanması uzerıne agregat büyüklüğünün etkisiYlli araştırmaktıt. Çtilışmadd, Nebraska tlniversitıesi Lincoln Ziraat Çiftliğinden alınan Sfitırpsburg Serisine ait bir toprak örneği kullanılmış ve toprCl;k, elenerek <2 mm., 24.76 mm. ve> 4:76 mm.lik franksiyonlara ayrılmıştır. Toprak fraksiyonları sütunlar içerisinde yerleştirilmiş ve HNOJ olarak NOJ ihtiva ıeaen saf su ile doyurulmuştur. Doygunlukt.an 24 9aat sonra, sütunlara 2 saatlik bir zaman esnasında 2.5 cm. su ilave edilerek sütünlar yıkanmıştır. Daha sonra sütunlar 9 Parçaya ayrılmış ve gerek bu parçaları içerisindeki topraklar ve gerekse süzük.ler NOr-N i için analize' tabi tutulmuştur. Elde edilen sonuçlam göre, ince fraksiyonun süzüğündeki nitrat miktarı,. başlangıçta diğer fraksiyonlardan daha fazla bulunmuştur. Kaba· fraksiyon; üst tabakalarda diğerlerinden daha. fazla nitrat kaybetmiştir. Bununla b-ıraber, kaba - fraksiyonun alt tabakalarındaki nitrat kaybı, ince ve orta, fraksiyandan daha az olmuştur. SUMMARY Te Effect of Different Aggregate Sizes on Leachiııg of Nltrate The purpose of this experiment was to investigate the effect of aggregate size on leaching of nitrate. One soil sample which belongs to Sharpsburg Series collected from the Lincoln Agronomy Farm of the University of Nebraska was used in this study. The Soil was divided into <2 mm,. 24.76 mm. ve > 4.76 mm. fractions by sieving. The sait frac~ tions wereplaced in the eölumns and saturated with wa.ter contamed NOı as NHOı . Mter 24 hours, 2.5 cm. distilled water was added to the oolumns duringa two hour period. Segments of eolumns and leaehates were analyzed for N03"N. According to the results, the amount of nitrate in the leaehate of the fine fraction was mare than the otheııs initially. The coarse fraction lost more nitrate than the others at the upper segmelJts. However, the loss from lower segments in the coarse fraction was less than the fine and medium fractions.
