Abstract:

The philosophy of a society that reveals the conception of the universe, the system of thought and the perspective of the world are the concrete reflections of collective consciousness. This language treasure also has a function of transmitting some teachings that regulate the social life of the individual belonging to the culture in which it exists beyond time and space. In this framework, the function of transmitting the codes of the culture in which it is within also advises the future generations about their behavior. In this study, Turkish vocabulary has been studied in terms of the skills of the 21st century (creativity and innovation, critical thinking and problem solving, communication, cooperation) that we want to have from the modern man of our age. The subject of this study, which is used for the study of the situation from the quality research patterns, is the 18837 speech taken from the work of Nurettin Albayrak's Turkish Atasözleri. In the collection of data, the document examination and the analysis of content were used. The study found that the Turkish speech focuses on the most critical thinking and problem-solving ability. The skills of critical thinking and problem-solving are followed by communication, cooperation and creativity skills.
