It is known that the maximal oxygen uptake (VO2max) or maximal aerobic power is one of the most important functional parameters for conducting prolonged efforts, because it is related to respiratory and cardiovascular endurance. Objective:To correlate the results obtained FootballWeltman Test and SoccerTest, in footballathletes. Methods: The sample consisted of 22 athletes who competed in the Paulista Championship Women's Footballin 2012 (three goalkeepers, four defenders, three backs, seven midfielders and five forwards), with a mean age of 22.4 ± 4.1 years, total body mass mean 59.8 ± 8.1 kg, mean height of 163.5 ± 0.6 m, fat percentage averaged 15, 6 ± 1.8%. For attainment of VO2max, the subjects were tested with Weltman and Soccertest. For the analysis of comparison, we used the statistical model ANOVA, adopting the significance level (p <0.05). Results and Conclusion: It is concluded through this study that there was no significant change in oxygen consumption according to the tests. However, because of the FootballTest is an acyclic test as well as the dynamics of football, he should be chosen as the method closest to the reality of the game, in addition to its easy application and low cost, making it a good alternative in the search for the development of better performance of athletes.
