Objective: This study was conducted to determine the level of violence tendency and related factors of high school students in Avanos province of Nevşehir. Methods: The research was descriptive and the universe consisted entirely of high school students (N = 849 people) in the province of Avanos in Nevşehir province. All of the students who agreed to participate in the survey (n = 796 people) were included in the sample selection (93.7%). The data were collected after obtaining permission from the relevant institutions, using a scale on violence tendencies and questions on socio-demographic characteristics and trends in violence. Number, percentage distribution, Mann Whitney-U and Kruskal Wallis tests were used in the evaluation of the data. Results: The average age of the students who participated in the survey was 16.37 ± 1.05 and 49.6% were girls. 90.2% of the students live with their parents. 21.7% of the students stated that they had been exposed to violence before. The average level of the students' level of violence tendency is 43.95 ± 12.49. 48.9 % of the students had more violence tendency, 37.5% few, and only 3% were found to be very few. There was no statistically significant difference between violent tendencies in terms of parental education level, parental attitude and income status (p> 0.05), while male students and those exposed to violence had a higher level of violence tendency (p <0.05). Conclusion: The majority of students have come to the conclusion that the levels of violence are "too high" and that men are more tendency to violence.
