Öğretmen görüşlerine göre eğitim fakültelerinin misyonlarını yerine getirebilme düzeyini belirlemeyi amaçlayan bu çalışma nitel yaklaşımla ele alınmıştır. Çalışmada fenomenolojik yöntem uygulanmıştır. Çalışma grubunu 2015-2016 eğitim-öğretim yılında Ankara ili Altındağ ilçesinde görev yapmakta olan 12 öğretmen oluşturmuştur. Veriler görüşme tekniği ile toplanmıştır. Görüşmelerde, eğitim fakültelerinin misyonları, misyonlarının etkililik düzeyi ve nedenleri, akademik çalışmaların etkileri ve Milli Eğitim Bakanlığı (MEB) ile üniversiteler arasındaki işbirliğine yönelik bilgiler toplanmıştır. Veriler betimsel analiz ile çözümlenmiştir. Sonuç olarak, öğretmenler eğitim fakültelerinin başlıca misyonunun öğretmen yetiştirmek olduğunu belirtmişlerdir. Ayrıca göreve yeni başlayan öğretmenlerin pedagojik yönden yetersiz olduklarını işaret etmişlerdir. Akademik çalışmaların okulların gerçekliğinden uzak ve sorunların çözümüne hizmet etmediğini vurgulamışlardır. Son olarak MEB ve üniversiteler arasında öğretmen adayı seçiminden yetiştirilmesine ve hizmet-içi eğitimlere kadar çok boyutlu bir etkileşimin fayda sağlayacağını belirtmişlerdir.
According to the teachers’ opinions, this work-quality approach, which aims to determine the level of capacity to fulfill the tasks of the educational faculty, has been addressed. The phenomenological method was applied. The work group was formed by 12 teachers who are working in Ankara or Altındağ district in the 2015-2016 educational year. The data is collected through the interview technique. In the talks, information on the missions of the educational faculty, the level of effectiveness and reasons of their missions, the effects of academic studies and the cooperation between the Ministry of National Education (MEB) and the universities was collected. The data is analyzed by visual analysis. As a result, teachers have pointed out that the main mission of educational faculty is to train teachers. They also pointed out that the teachers who started the job are inadequate from a pedagogical point of view. They emphasized that academic studies are far from the reality of schools and do not serve to solve problems. Finally, MEB and the universities will benefit from the selection of the teacher candidate and a multi-dimensional interaction to service-in-training.
This study which aims to determine the level of achievement of the missions of the education faculties according to the teachers' views, employed with qualitative approach. The phenomenological method was applied in the study. The study group consist of 12 teachers who were working in the district of Altındağ in Ankara province in 2015-2016 academic year. The data were collected by interview technique. In the interviews, information was gathered about the missions of education faculties, the level and reasons of effectiveness of missions, the effects of academic studies and cooperation between Ministry of National Education (MoNE) and universities. The data were analyzed by descriptive analysis. As a result, the teachers stated that the main mission of the education faculties is to train teachers. In addition, they pointed out that teachers who are new at training are inadequate in the pedagogical direction. They emphasized that academic work is far from the reality of schools and does not serve to solve problems. Finally, they pointed out that a multidimensional interaction between MoNE and universities would benefit from the selection of teacher candidates, their training and in-service training.
