Abstract:

This study aims to identify the students' skills to use historical evidence by evidence-based learning method. The work has been established in the educational state work model. The 2019-2020 educational year in the good period of TC. In the framework of the History and Atatürkçülük lessons, 32 high school students who studied in the 8th class were performed. The study included activities and questions that include the underdimensions of the students' ability to use historical evidence. The data of the study is obtained in this scope from classroom video cameras recordings and the newspaper corner writings that students create. The data is analyzed by imagistic analysis technique. The research results have shown that the ability to use historical evidence can be developed as the subdimensions of evidence identification, conception, translation, refinement, analysis and synthesis work on historical evidence. It has shown that the ability of the students to use evidence against this situation is difficult to judge and evaluate the evidence. The findings show that the courses that will be processed with historical evidence in all stages of education can be stated that students can develop their skills to use historical evidence.
