Abstract:

Purpose: This research has been done to determine the knowledge and attitudes of the students of the latter class of nursing towards evidence-based nursing. Method: This research, which is of a defining type, was conducted with 143 students studying in the last class of a university’s nursing department. In the collection of data, the student’s information form and the evidence-based attitude to nursing scale were used. In the assessment of the data, percentage, frequency, t tests were used. Results: The average age of participants in the study is 22.01±0.95. The average student weight score is 76.62±7.85. The study found that 80.4 per cent of the students who participated in the study were women and 72.7 per cent of the students who did not follow a magazine/publication specific to the area, and 69.2 per cent of the students thought they would undertake graduate education. The proof-based nursing attitude scale is a total average score of 61.65±9.30 and the scale's chronbach alpha ratio is 0.92. The result: Students’ attitude and intentions towards evidence-based nursing appear to be at a good level. It is seen that women students receive higher scores in scale and lower scores compared to men (p<0.05). It was observed that the scale total and sub-dimensional scores were higher than those who did not think of graduate education (p<0.05).
