Basit Araçlarla Yaparak Öğrenme Yöntemi ile Yapılan Deney Uygulamalarına Yönelik Öğretmen Adayı ve Öğrenci Görüşleri

Abstract:

Bu araştırmada, fen bilimleri öğretmen adaylarının or-taokul fen bilimleri dersi kazanımlarına yönelik özellikle basit malzemelerle ve okul dışı ortamlarda yapılabilecek deneyleri hazırlayarak ortaokul öğrencileriyle gerçekleştir-meleri hedeflenmiş ve bu uygulamalara ilişkin öğretmen adaylarının ve ortaokul öğrencilerinin görüşlerinin belir-lenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Araştırmada nitel araştırma yakla-şımlarından fenomenoloji kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın ça-lışma grubunu 12 fen bilimleri öğretmen adayı ve 24 ortao-kul öğrencisi oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmanın verileri araş-tırmacılar tarafından hazırlanan yarı yapılandırılmış gö-rüşme formu ile toplanmıştır. Verilerin analizinde ise betim-sel analiz tekniği kullanılmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda yapı-lan uygulamalarla öğretmen adaylarının ve öğrencilerin laboratuvar uygulamalarının önemini kavradıkları, deney-lerin sadece laboratuvarda yapılabilirliği konusundaki düşüncelerinin değiştiği görülmüştür. Okul ve laboratuvar dışındaki ortamlarda da basit deneylerin gerçekleştirilebile-ceği ve bu şekilde günlük yaşamla feni ilişkilendirme konu-sunda da daha başarılı olunableceği sonucuna varılmıştır.

Teacher candidates and students' opinions towards experimental applications made by simple learning methods

Abstract:

In this study, science teachers are aimed at performing with high school students by preparing experiments that can be done in special simple materials and out-of-school environments to the achievements of or-school science courses, and the aim is to identify the opinions of teachers candidates and high school students on these practices. The research has been used by phenomenology from quality research. The study’s age-start group consists of 12 science teachers candidates and 24 high school students. The data of the research was collected with a semi-structured shell form prepared by researchers. In the analysis of the data, the image-cell analysis technique was used. The research has shown that structural practices and teachers candidates and students understand the importance of laboratory practices, and their thoughts about the possibility of experiments only in the laboratory have changed. In the environment outside of school and laboratory, the conclusion is that simple experiments can be performed and thus associated with everyday life can be more successful in the subject.

Abstract:

The purpose of this study is to determine approaches which elementary students and teacher candidates have to applications fields of science education and this study has targeted to conduct with elementary students by preparing the experiments which can be done with especially basic materials and outside of school. In this study a qualıtatıve research analysis, phenomenology, was used. The study group consist of twelve science teacher candidates and twenty-four secondary school students. The study data was gathered by they use of semi-structured interview form prepared form by researchers. As for data analysis, desc-riptive analysis technique was used. At the result of the research, ıt has observed that students and teachers unders-tand the importance of laboratory applications thanks to the applications and their idea that experiments can be conduc-ted only in laboratories has changed. The result was the understanding that basic experiments can be conducted in an outside school and laboratory as well, and association between daily life and science was more successful.
