Abstract:

This study aims to identify the difficulties that biology teachers who work in high school institutions encounter during biology teaching and to present solutions recommendations. Therefore, the problem state of the research constitutes "the difficulties that biology teachers experience during biology teaching". In the research methods of quality research is used the factual scientific research design. The research work group consists of 34 biology teachers who work in science, anatomy and professional high schools in Antalya in the educational and educational year 2017/2018. In the study, the data was collected through a semi-configured conversation form consisting of 7 dimensions and 18 subdimensions, analyzed by the content analysis method. The findings have come to the conclusions that teachers' opinions are not taken into account in program changes, that teachers need service education in measurement and evaluation matters, that schools have lack of laboratory equipment, material and technological infrastructure, that students' scientific research and learning cultures are not sufficiently developed, that teaching books have some scientific deficiencies, that the Ministry of National Education has organized insufficient service training and that their parents should be aware of. The most important step to take for this is to ensure that teachers participate actively in this process while the training system is structured.
