Klasik Türk edebiyatında şairler kelimeleri sözlük anlamları dışında farklı anlamlarda da kullanabilirler. Eserler kelime ve mazmunlar bakımından incelendiğinde şairlerin kelime kadrosu tespit edilir. Şairlerin kullandıkları kelime kadrosu tarihî seyir içinde kazandıkları değişik anlamlar doğrultusunda değerlendirilir. Klasik şiiri anlayabilmek okuyucunun eserlerin verildiği dönemden itibaren günümüze kadar gelen kültür birikimine sahip olmasını da gerektirir. Bu çalışmada “dendân” kelimesinin beyitlerdeki kullanımları tespit edilmeye çalışılacaktır. Dendân, klasik şiirde genel olarak sevgilinin dişi anlamında kullanılır. Dişlerin rengi, parlaklığı, dizi halinde bulunması ve ağzın sadef gibi düşünülmesi sonucu inciye benzetilir. Dendân edebiyat haricinde hat, tezhip ve mimaride de kavram olarak kullanılmıştır. Şairler geleneğin çizdiği çerçeve içinde kalarak, kelimelere yükledikleri anlamlar vasıtasıyla eserlerine orijinallik kazandırmıştır.
In classical Turkish literature, poets can use the words in different meanings other than the dictionary. When the works are studied in terms of words and mazmunes, the poet’s word staff is identified. The words that the poets use are evaluated according to the different meanings they gain in the historical journey. Understanding the classical poetry requires that the reader has a cultural accumulation from the time when the works are given to the present day. In this study, the use of the word "dendân" will be attempted to identify. Dendân is commonly used in the classical poem as the female meaning of the lover. The color of the teeth, brightness, appearance in a series and the mouth is considered as pure as the result of the bear. In addition to literature, it is also used as a concept in line, thesis and architecture. Poets remained within the framework that the tradition drawn, and through the meanings they put on to the words, they gained originality to their works.
Poets can use words expect the dictionary meaning in Classical Turkish Literature. When works is examined inpoint of words and mazmuns, frameworks of words of poets is determined. Poetical framework of words is evaluated according to different understandings in the historic cruise. To understand classical poetry requires reader who have a cultural accumulation from the time these works were given to the present day. In this study, different uses of the word “dendan” in a limitted number of couplet will be tried to be determined. Dendan is used within the meaning of lover’s tooth in classic poetry. Teeth are likened to pearls due to color, brightness, beauty of teeth, appearance like aline, and the mouth is thought like mother of pearl. Dendan is used as a concept in calligraphy and illumination art excepting literature. By remaining within the frame drawn by tradition, poets have given originality to their works by means of the meanings they attach to words.
