Abstract:

The aim of this study is to put forth the views of teachers who have been teaching reading and writing to students, that are included in the education system for the first time, with distance education process due to the transition to distance education. In the study, the case study method, which is one of the qualitative research methods, was adopted. The research group of the study consists of 5 classroom teachers who taught first grades in the 2020-2021 academic year and worked in different cities. The data of the study were collected through focus group interview and a form. The collected data were analyzed with descriptive analysis technique and categorized under 7 title: first experiences, methods used and the way the process was carried out, materials used, measure mentan devaluation, problems encountered, self-evaluation process and suggestions. As a result of the study, it was seen that parent-teacher communication is crucial, the flipped classroom model gives successful results, the rare technological inadequacy esespecially in multigrade classrooms and web 2.0 tool sare frequently used.
